The Matebeleland North Provincial Agricultural show has attracted new exhibitors, a development that
shows the growth of the 73rd prime show in the province.
The 2023 edition of the province’s agriculture is running under the theme Leveraging Our Natural
Resources towards vision 2030.
The show witnessed major new exhibitors such as Zimstat, Dinson Colliery, the Department of Irrigation
among other new exhibitors.
The Show Society Marketing Director, Leonard Ncube, confirmed the growing interest in the provincial
show said they had attracted several new exhibitors.
“We have the Dinson Colliery, Zimstat, the Department of Irrigation as well as the Ministry of
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services as new exhibitors.” he said.
The province's grand show started in 1950 as Wankie Agricultural Show and was rebranded in 2019 as
the Matebeleland North Agricultural Show.
In last year's edition, the Show Society had only 60 exhibitors.
“We had a surprise exhibitor, the Binga Council, which last exhibited three years ago, and this time
around they came to the provincial show where they focused on their natural and agricultural products,
”he said.
The theme Leveraging our natural resources towards vision 2030 buttress the agenda of value addition
