Harare, (New Ziana)— Transmedia Corporation management and senior officials on Thursday signed an integrity pledge with the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).
The pledge is meant to promote honesty, transparency and good leadership at Transmedia.
Transmedia board chairperson, Engineer Lawrence Nkala said the pledge shows the company’s commitment to ethical, corruption-free administration.
“This is more than just signing a document. It is a promise to uphold high ethical standards in our work every day,” he said.
Transmedia chief executive officer, engineer Adonia Mushosho said staff must ‘live’ the pledge in their daily work, quoting 1 Samuel 12:3-5 in the Bible on integrity.
“The pledge must be seen in how we make decisions and how we serve our stakeholders,” he said.
ZACC official, Magobeya Princewell said the commission was happy that Transmedia approached ZACC for help.
“Fighting corruption needs everyone. Institutions and citizens must work together so that integrity becomes part of our culture,” he said.
ZACC has been encouraging public institutions to partner with it to improve governance and stop corruption.
