MUTARE — Vice President Kembo Mohadi has commissioned 55 buses acquired by the Public Service Commission (PSC) to improve transport services for civil servants across the country.
The handover took place this morning in Mutare during the official opening of the 2026 Public Service Commission Retirement Conference at the Mutare Polytechnic Sports Pavilion.
Addressing delegates, Vice President Mohadi stated that the buses are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ease transport challenges faced by public sector workers and to foster a dignified working environment.
The three-day conference is running under the theme “Bridging the Gaps: Sustainable Retirement Solutions for Public Sector Workers.”
The conference brings together civil servants, policymakers, and regional stakeholders to discuss retirement planning, health, and financial security.
According to the PSC, the new fleet—five of which are specifically allocated to Manicaland Province—will be deployed across various government departments to facilitate staff mobility and enhance overall service delivery.
