WCOZ launches a Chapter in Binga

Women Coalition of Zimbabwe has launched another chapter in Matebeleland North
Province, this time in Binga district bring its offices to two in the province after the
Hwange Chapter.

Speaking at the launch, Sithembinkosi Ndlovu said by spreading its wings to all corners
of the province, WCOZ was striving to empower women all over Zimbabwe.

She thanked the communities within which they operate, especially Binga, for their
support and enthusiasm saying it had made their task easier.

She said the organization had made important strides in the betterment of women in
Zimbabwe.

“Our work is far from finished. And that is why we continue to work towards a better day
for women and girls. This mission of gender equality needs constant nourishing and
multi-stakeholder engagement, and active support—both moral and material and we
count on all of you to be champions in these effort,” said Ndlovu.

Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe is an organisation that envisions a Zimbabwean
society where women and girls fully enjoy their rights. It has established chapters
across the country’s 10 provinces to ensure local area advocacy and empower women
to collectively advocate for an equal society.

So far WCoZ has 15 Chapters across the country namely Harare, Seke, Bulawayo,
Zvishavane, Marondera, Mutare, Chinhoyi, Bindura, Kariba, Hwange, Bulawayo,
Gwanda, Mt Darwin, Gweru and Kwekwe .
