    Wife murderer on the run

    A 50-year-old Chinhoyi man is on the run after fatally stabbing his wife with a knife
    when he caught her and her lover in his bedroom.

    The murder was committed after the man caught the wife red-handed with her
    suspected lover on their matrimonial bed. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at
    house number 290 Gadzema in Chinhoyi.

    Bwanado Bwanali is said to have fled Chinhoyi using the Karoi route and is
    suspected to be attempting to cross the border into Zambia.

    Bwanali is said to have arrived at his home at night unexpectedly as he usually didn’t
    stay home. He found his wife, Chioneso Ephrame (41), who a vegetable vendor at
    the Gadzema vegetable market, sitting on the bed with her lover.

    The sight of the two on the matrimonial bed sent Bwanali into a rage and he
    butchered his wife.

    The Zimbabwe Republic Police National Police spokesperson, Assistant
    Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the tragic incident saying they are looking for
    the suspect and are appealing to anyone with information on his whereabouts to
    contact the nearest police station.

    “Police in Chinhoyi are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of
    Bwanali Bwanado (50), who is being sought in connection with a case of murder in
    which he stabbed his wife Chioneso Ephraim (41) to death with an okapi knife after
    finding her sitting on their matrimonial bed with her unidentified boyfriend on
    November 7, 2023 at a house in Gadzema,” said Nyathi.

    Police are appealing to anyone with information on whereabouts of Bwanado to
    report at any nearest police station.
