Harare, (New Ziana) – Cricket sport leaders from around the world have gathered in Zimbabwe for a crucial set of meetings, with the highlight being the International Cricket Council (ICC) full board meeting scheduled to take place in Victoria Falls.
Zimbabwe Cricket announced the arrival of ICC Chairperson Jay Shah, who landed in the country on Wednesday to prepare for the high-profile discussions.
While Zimbabwe has previously hosted major tournaments, including the World Cup Qualifiers and the 2003 World Cup alongside South Africa, this marks a historic moment as it is the first time the nation will hold a full ICC board meeting since gaining test status over three decades ago.
As part of his visit, Shah is set to tour the Mosi oa Tunya Stadium under construction in Victoria Falls, a key venue for the upcoming 2027 World Cup, which Zimbabwe will co-host with South Africa and Namibia.
The meetings are expected to address critical developments in global cricket, with Zimbabwe playing a central role in the discussions.
