Harare (New Ziana) – Young entrepreneurs should be passionate about what they do and persevere in order to succeed in their businesses, an official has said.

More than one hundred young entrepreneurs gathered to receive their prize money and laptops which they won in the Zimbabwe Innovation Challenge.

“To the young entrepreneurs out there I would just say find perseverance and passion in what you do, find out what you want to do and given an opportunity, go for it,” he said.

The tourism innovation challenge has benefited 140 youths throughout the country and all the 10 provinces had a chance of participate, with three contestants from each province competing for the national title.

“Next year the Ministry will be targeting 500 entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe to participate in the tourism innovation challenge,” said Mnangagwa.

Gracia Bvute who has a gourmet restaurant called PaBvute Gourmet in Harare came first in the competition and won US$5 000 and a laptop.

She encouraged other young entrepreneurs to be positive and focus on growing their businesses.
