Harare (New Ziana)-The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced an upward review in fuel prices, both in local currency and United States dollars, while maintaining the petrol blending ratio at E5.
The upward adjustment follows a reduction in fuel prices which was effected on 29 December 2022.
In a statement on Wednesday, ZERA pegged the new price of diesel in local currency at $1 147.01 per litre, up from $1 119.82, while that of petrol rose to $1 080.01 per litre from $1 016.49.
In US dollars, the price of diesel went up from $1.63 per litre to $1.65, while that of petrol is now pegged at $1.53 from $1.50.
“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” ZERA said.
