Harare (New Ziana)-The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) on Monday said it is monitoring developments on the international oil market before coming up with July fuel prices.
Fuel prices are reviewed on the 5th of every month.
According to June prices, petrol costs US$1.33 per litre while diesel is pegged at US$1.30.
In a statement, Zera said fuel operators should continue charging June prices while consultations were being done.
“However due to developments that are taking place on the international oil market, Zera will issue a statement on the July 2021 fuel prices after the statutory set date.
“Zera is closely monitoring the fuel price trends on the international oil market while consulting local key stakeholders on the likely impact of the developments on the final pump prices,” it said.
Zera added: “Fuel operators are therefore urged to continue trading as per the June 2021 fuel prices while consultations are being finalised. The July 2021 fuel prices will be announced in due course”.
