    Zim Covid-19 cases now 29

    Harare(New Ziana)-Zimbabwe recorded one case of Covid-19 on Thursday bringing to 29 the total number of confirmed cases to date.

    In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said one more person tested positive to Covid-19 in Bulawayo.

    “The Ministry would like to report that of the 101 PCR tests done in Bulawayo on the 22nd of April 2020, one was positive for Covid-19.

    “All the PCR tests done in Harare and Bulawayo today (Thursday) were negative for Covid-19,” said the Ministry.

    It added: “Therefore, to date, Zimbabwe has twenty-nine confirmed cases, including two recoveries and four deaths.”

    On Thursday, 460 tests were done, bringing the cumulative total of 5 450 screening and diagnostic tests done to date.

    Zimbabwe set an ambitious target to test 40 000 people for Covid-19 by April 30th.
