Harare, (New Ziana)- The price of fuel has gone up in Zimbabwe from $1.99 per litre for blended petrol to $2.06, while that for diesel has risen from $1.95 to $2.08 per litre.

Announcing the upward review, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) said the new prices are effective from 17 September 2026.
ZERA said diesel (50) will now retail at ZWG55.57 per litre, up from ZWG52.10, while blend (E20) will sell at ZWG54.97 per litre, up from ZWG53.06.
This represents an increase of ZWG3.47 (US$0.13) on diesel and ZWG1.91 (US$0.07) on blend.
“ZERA will maintain continuous monitoring and review, as Government interventions remain in place to mitigate the impact of global geopolitical developments on consumers,” the authority said.
The adjustment comes just over a week after the last review on 09 September 2026, when diesel was set at ZWG52.10 (US$1.95) and blend at ZWG53.06 (US$1.99).
