    Zimasco workplace accident claims life

    KWEKWE – A CAT tipper operator at Zimbabwe’s leading ferro-chrome mining company, Zimasco’s Kwekwe Division died this morning after being buried underneath a large pile of chrome ore at the West Plant.

    Fellow workers immediately rushed his rescue and extricated the operator from the heap and rushed him to Kwekwe General Hospital.

    Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

    The company is run by Tiahano. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
