    Zim’s Covid-19 infection tally up to 32

    Harare, (New Ziana) – Zimbabwe on Monday recorded one new case of Covid-19, taking the country’s tally of confirmed cases to 32, the country’s health ministry has said.

    The Ministry of Health and Child Care, in its daily update, said one out of 439 tests carried out on the day was positive.

    “Of the PCR tests done in Harare today (Monday) one was positive for Covid-19. All the PCR tests done in Bulawayo were negative for Covid-19,” the ministry said.

    Further details on the new case will soon the availed, the ministry said.

    The numbers of tests carried out on Monday, brings the total conducted since late March, when the first case was recorded to 6 834.

    To date, four Covid-19 deaths and five recoveries have been recorded in the country, which is currently under a nationwide lockdown aimed at curtailing infections.
