20 Nurse aides graduate

Angelwood Training Centre has certified 20 Nurse Aides at a graduation ceremony at the Salvation
Army Church in Hwange recently.
The eloquent graduation ceremony was the first graduation for the Angelwood Training Centre, and
enrolment of the second intake has begun.
Speaking during the graduation, Moses Banda the Director of Angelwood Training Centre said the
institution is offering courses that can be used by the Hwange community to financially uplift
themselves.
“We do not want to leave anyone behind, we are offering courses for the community of Hwange in
order to develop the community of Hwange.
Angelwood is a Zimbabwean registered organisation which focuses on uplifting the lives of youths
towards sustainable socio-economic development.
Banda urged students to be good ambassadors when they go out in the field. He said they should
always be vigilant and use their skills productively.

“We want the graduates to use their certificates to develop themselves and their communities
around them. This is not just a paper, but the courses you learnt can bring you fortunes in future,”
said the Director.
Angelwood Centre offers courses such as Basic Nurse Aides, Advanced Nurse Assisted, Receptionist,
Pharmacy Occupational Health and Safety.
It is one of the leading nurse aide trainee schools in Hwange.
The guest speaker, John Ngoshe who is a retired nurse congratulated the nurse aides and reminded
them that the health industry needs people who are compassionate.
“The profession you have chosen is a calling. I want to encourage you to take these three
characteristics as you start your journey, you need to have empathy, sympathy and compassion for
the patients,” said Ngoshe.
The graduates thanked the organisation, saying they are looking forward to going out into the field
and practicing what they had learnt.
“I am proud of myself and very happy that I completed the courses on time. For now, l am just
excited about going out there in the field and putting into practice what we have been taught,” said
a graduate, Ms Ncube.
