MUTARE-The nomination court in Manicaland province ended well at the Mutare
Magistrates Court with the two major political parties, Zanu PF and Citizens
Coalition for Change (CCC) fielding candidates in every constituency while MDC-
T had four candidates in Buhera West, Makoni Central, Nyanga North and Nyanga
South.
There were five independent candidates in the province.
Manicaland provincial elections officer Thompson Chiwereweshe, who presided
over the nomination process, said Zanu PF and CCC managed to submit their party
lists for the house of assembly women quota, senatorial seat and the provincial
council.
The nomination court process in Manicaland saw all major political parties
contesting in the August 23 harmonised elections successfully fielding their
candidates in the various constituencies.
In Buhera Central, Samson Matema of Zanu PF will square off with Timothy
Undega of CCC. In Buhera North, Philip Mbuyo of Zanu PF is in the race with
Julius Magarangoma of CCC.
In Buhera South Ngonidzashe Mudekunye of Zanu PF locks horns with Solomon
Hodela of CCC. For Buhera West, Mugwadi Tafadzwa of Zanu PF and Tsvangirai
Komborero of MDC-T will battle it out with Herbert Mangwanya of CCC.
Chikanga Constituency will have Kenneth Muchina of Zanu PF, Garikai Charamba
of NCA locking horns with Taurai Kambureni of UZA and Linnet Karenyi of
CCC. In Chimanimani East, Joshua Sacco of Zanu PF will square off with
Innocent Dube of CCC.

In Chimanimani West, Wilson Maphosa of Zanu PF will battle it out with Canaan
Matiashe of CCC and Isaiah Mushango of NCA.
In Chipinge South, Clifford Hlatswayo(CCC), Amy Maunde (Independent),
Ronald Mlambo (Independent), Takawira Mupakati (NCA), Enock Porusingazi
(Zanu PF) and Nelson Sithole (DUZ) are battling in the house of assembly.
In Chipinge Central, Raymond Machingura of Zanu PF, will square off with
Livingstone Luzhumo of CCC and in Chipinge East Lincoln Dhliwayo of Zanu PF,
Matthias Mlambo of CCC and Samuel Mupadhi of NCA will battle it out.
Dangamvura Constituency will see Clyde Jani of Zanu PF, Propser Mutseyami of
CCC and Lameck Mandunguza of NCA locking horns.
In Headlands, Farai Mapfumo of Zanu PF, Valentine Ziswa of CCC and Julius
Lastone, an independent candidate will square off.
In Makoni Central, Shepherd Nyika of Zanu PF, will battle it out with Patrick
Sagandira of CCC and David Tekeshe of MDC-T.
For Makoni North constituency, Joseph Muombi of Zanu PF will lock horns with
Shepherd Chitema of CCC. In Makoni South, Danmore Chenai CCC, Pishai
Muchauraya (DUZ), Albert Nyakuedzwa Zanu PF will lock horns for the house of
assembly seat.
In Makoni West, Jenfan Muswere of Zanu PF will face of with Price Gonye an
independent candidate and Godfrey Makwasha of CCC.
Mutare Central will see businessman Esau Mupfumi of Zanu PF and Brian James
of CCC battling it out while in Mutare North, Admire Mahachi of Zanu PF and
Tendai Takabika of CCC lock horns.
Tawanda Dumbarimwe Zanu PF and Fungai Saunyama CCC will lock horns in
Mutare South.
Mutare West will have Nyasha Marange Zanu PF battling it out with Independent
Thomas Munjoma and Prayer Nemasasi of CCC.

In Mutasa Central, Innocent Benza of Zanu PF will square off with Dickson
Chekecheke of CCC meanwhile in Mutasa North Obey Bvute of Zanu PF will
battle it out with Godfrey Chitsara of CCC.
In Mutasa South, Misheck Mugadza of Zanu PF will face Regai Tsunga of CCC.
Mutema-Musikavanhu Constituency will have Alexander Chauka of DUZ facing
Angeline Gate of Zanu PF, Thomas Mudzamiri of NCA and Sibongile
Nyakuedzwa of CCC.
In Nyanga North, Nyahando Chifodya of CCC, Chido Sanyatwe of Zanu PF and
Munyaradzi Mwonzora of MDC-T will battle it out.
Nyanga South will have Supa Mandiwanzira of Zanu PF facing Tonderai Madziwa
of MDC-T and Carson Ruxandra of CCC.
