Harare (New Ziana) – The Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Board (ZNBWCB) on Monday announced the suspension of its chief executive, Lawrence Zimbudzana, over alleged misconduct.

In a statement, ZNBWCB board chairperson, Vee Chibanda said the matter was under investigation, and results would be made public once the probe is completed.

He did not say what the alleged misconduct involved.

“During Mr. Zimbudzana’s suspension, Mrs. Pricilla Kadungure will oversee the operations and management of the organization in her capacity as the acting Ceo. This appointment will ensure temporary continuity and uninterrupted service to the athletes, stakeholders, and the public,” Chibanda said.

He added that ZNBWCB remained committed to promoting and supporting the development of boxing and wrestling in Zimbabwe.
