ZANU PF Central Committee meets

Harare, (New Ziana) – Members of the ZANU PF Central Committee are gathered in Gweru for the ruling party’s inaugural Strategic Seminar aimed at sharpening internal coordination and aligning party programmes with the country’s national development blueprint, Vision 2030.

In a statement, party Secretary for Information and Publicity, Christopher Mutsvangwa, said the seminar would start on Wednesday and conclude on Sunday.

“The Secretary General of ZANU PF, Cde. Advocate Jacob F. N. Mudenda notifies all members of the inaugural Strategic Seminar for Central Committee Members. It shall be held in Gweru at the ZANU PF Convention Centre from the 4th to the 8th of February 2026.

“All Central Committee Members, excluding Politburo members and their Deputies, are expected to attend,” the statement reads.

The Central Committee, regarded as one of the party’s most influential organs, plays a pivotal role in shaping policy direction between congresses.

It is the principal organ of Congress and the second-highest decision-making body after the Politburo. Its responsibilities include guiding party programmes, ensuring cohesion across structures, and even amending the party constitution – subject to ratification by a full congress.
