President to open Central Committee Strategic Seminar, lead clean-up campaign

GWERU – Zanu-PF first secretary, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is set to officially open the inaugural party’s Strategic Seminar for Central Committee members and lead the Midlands Province’s February Presidential Clean-Up Campaign in Gweru this Friday.
The five-day Central Committee Strategic Seminar, which began on February 4 and runs until February 8, is being held at the Zanu-PF Gweru Conference Centre.
President Mnangagwa’s keynote address is anticipated to be the highlight of the seminar.
Zanu-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, stated that the strategic seminar is attended by all Central Committee members, excluding Politburo members and their deputies.
Midlands Province leadership has expressed confidence in the province’s readiness to successfully host the high-level workshop.
The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Midlands Province, Owen Ncube, said all preparations were complete.
“All is set for us to host this important workshop, which will be officially opened by His Excellency the President,” Ncube said.
He added that infrastructure, logistics, and coordination arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth and productive programme throughout the five-day event.
The seminar will focus on key party programmes, governance priorities, and the implementation of party resolutions, in line with Zanu-PF’s broader vision of national development and people-centred leadership.
Earlier in the day, the President will lead a National Clean-Up exercise in Gweru’s Central Business District as part of the monthly Presidential Clean-Up Campaign.
Thousands of people are expected to participate in the Clean-Up Campaign, with buses arranged to ferry participants to designated areas across the city.
