Bulawayo, (New Ziana)— The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company has unveiled an ambitious strategic vision for the 2026 edition, reinforcing the position of the country as a gateway for regional and international trade while deepening industrial integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Running under the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries,” the edition this year seeks to move beyond conventional exhibition models by positioning the annual fair as a platform where policy, production and cross-border commerce converge.
“The ZITF has evolved from a traditional showcase into a strategic marketplace where African industries connect, collaborate and compete globally. The 2026 theme reflects our determination to place partners and exhibitors at the very heart of Africa’s industrial evolution,” the ZITF Company said on Tuesday.
The ZITF has become one of Africa’s longest-running multi-sectoral exhibitions, playing a pivotal role in promoting the country as a regional investment and trade hub.
Over the years, the ZITF has consistently attracted exhibitors from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and across Africa, providing a meeting point for manufacturers, financiers, policymakers and innovators.
The fair has assisted local companies scale beyond domestic markets while opening Zimbabwe to international capital, technology transfer and export opportunities.
According to the ZITF Company, recent editions have seen growing participation from international exhibitors seeking entry into Southern African Development Community (SADC) markets, driven by the country’s strategic location and improving trade connectivity.
