    Airlink launches Hre-Capetown direct flight

    Harare, (New Ziana) – Privately owned South African airline, Airlink on Wednesday launched its inaugural direct flight linking Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, with South Africa’s tourism capital, Cape Town.

    The inaugural flight touched down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Wednesday to a water canon salute.

    The flight costs R2 700 one way.

    Airlink, which services most capitals in Southern Africa, also flies to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

    The airline owns more than 50 commercial jetliners operating throughout Southern Africa and in 2019, before the advent of Covid-19 carried over two million customers on more than 63 000 flights.
