    Bulawayo man jailed 15 years for indecently assaulting child’s classmate

    Harare, (New Ziana) – A Bulawayo man has been
    imprisoned to an effective 15 years in jail for indecently assaulting
    his child’s classmate who was helping the latter with school homework.

    The 47-year-old man from Mpopoma, Bulawayo was convicted of aggravated
    indecent assault by the Western Commonage Magistrates’ Court.

    The State case was that on October 16 last year, the man assaulted the
    11-year-old complainant who was helping his daughter with homework.

    The man’s daughter fell asleep, leaving the victim alone with him.
    Seizing the opportunity, he approached the complainant, fondled her
    breasts and inserted his fingers into her privates repeatedly.

    The victim reported the incident to her teacher who in turn made a
    police report leading to his arrest.
