    Chief Chipfuyamiti of Uzumba Dies

    Uzumba (New Ziana) – Chief Chipfuyamiti of Uzumba died on Tuesday after a head-on collision on a bridge in the district.

    The Chief, who is brother to the late national hero and former Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services boss Paradzayi Zimondi, died after the car he was travelling in collided-head on with a truck that was carrying cotton bales.

    The accident occurred just after Muhume Bridge on the 22km peg along the Madicheche road linking Murewa and Mtawatawa.

    Chief Chipfuyamiti, born Tichafa Zimondi of Taruvinga Village was aged 76 years.
