Beitbridge– Civil servants gathered at Vhembe Secondary School to sign integrity pledges in a renewed push to fight corruption.
The event, led by the Public Service Commission, targeted 400 officers, with all committing to uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability in their duties.
The provincial head of ZAC, Albert Midzi said corruption often arises from a lack of awareness, emphasising the need to guide public servants on ethical conduct.
He referenced the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, noting that Zimbabwe continues to align with global efforts through its National Anti-Corruption Strategy, launched by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“These pledges are a promise to do the right thing even when no one is watching,” he said.
The ceremony drew government officials, church leaders, and civil servants, reflecting a collective commitment to building a culture of integrity in public service.
