Concession United expelled from Division One League

THE Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has expelled Northern Region Division
One League new boys, Concession United Football Club, from the first soccer tier
In a communique to all teams in the league on Tuesday, Martin Kweza, the league
chairperson, said the team failed to fulfill some of their fixtures as well as meeting
league expenses, hence the expulsion.
“Regrettably we write to inform you that we have expelled Concession United
Football Club from the league with immediate effect, due to its failure to fulfill its
fixtures and related league expenses,” reads the communique.
The Northern Region, rules and regulations provide for the immediate expulsion of a
team once it fails to fulfill three of its league matches.
The Concession boys are at the bottom of the 18 teams Ruyamuro Northern Region
Division One league with a mere four points from 26 games.
Concession United FC was one of Mashonaland Central’s three Northern Region
Division One ambassadors together with Trojan Stars and Shamva Mine FC.
According to some insiders, the team used to be sponsored by politicians who after
attaining seats in councils and parliament then deserted them.
