Covid-19Update: Zim records four new cases, eight more recoveries

Harare, (New Ziana) – Zimbabwe on Tuesday recorded four new Covid-19 cases to take the tally of confirmed cases to 391, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said.

Eight new recoveries were also recorded on the day in Harare province.

“To date the total number of confirmed cases is 391, recovered 62, active cases 325 and four deaths since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020,” the Ministry said.

The total number of tests carried out to date now stands at 59 794.

With wearing of masks now mandatory when in public to prevent the spread on Covid-19, the Health Ministry however said people who would be exercising should not wear masks.

“People should not wear medical or non medical masks while exercising as masks may reduce the ability to recover breathing and may harm the exerciser’s health,” the Ministry said.
