Harare (New Ziana) -Zimbabwe’s participation at the on-going Expo 2020 Dubai has generated a lot of interest with at least 55 500 visitors having toured the country’s pavilion in October, a Cabinet Minister has said.

In a weekly post Cabinet briefing, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Monica Mutsvangwa said the Zimbabwe pavilion was most visible due to its custom design and location.

“The Zimbabwe Pavilion received a total of 55 500 visitors in the month of October and this is attributed to its strategic location, which is close to the United Arab Emirates Pavilion. The custom-made Zimbabwe pavilion passport stamp is also a major draw card,” she said.

Mutsvangwa said the agriculture sector has been receiving the second highest inquiries as most companies are keen to invest in agriculture in Zimbabwe due to the emphasis on organic and natural produce.

“Cabinet would like to encourage the private sector to participate in this fair. The calendar of events lined up to 31 March 2022 can be obtained on the EXPO 2020 Dubai website at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade,” she said.

The theme of the expo is,” Connecting the minds, creating the future “.

Zimbabwe is participating under the theme,” Zimbabwe – the Land of Great Opportunities as we seek to attain an Upper Middle Economy by 2030″.
