Four new ambassadors present credentials

Harare (New Ziana)- Four new ambassadors on Thursday presented credentials to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House.

The four are new Canadian ambassador to Zimbabwe, Christina Buchan, Udo Volz from Germany, Ghana’s Alexander Ntrakwa and Nicklaas Kandijii from Namibia.

Speaking to journalists after presenting credentials, Buchan expressed commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Zimbabwe through its engagement and re-engagement policy.

“Canada has provided much support for Zimbabwe food security through the World Food Programme. We have provided support to gender programmes through Civil society organisations as well as health programmes.

“We look forward to working to support the people of Zimbabwe,” she said.

Ghana’s Ntrakwa expressed his country’s commitment to expediting the revival of the Joint Permanent Commission focusing on various economic sectors.
