A new shopping mall will soon take shape at Mutoko business centre, thanks to a local business man
who has heeded the call by the Second Republic for locals to be in the forefront of development in
their areas.
Businessman and miner, Blessing Kanhema is following on Government’s mantra of ‘nyika inovakwa
nevene vayo’ by constructing a two-storey shopping mall. The ground breaking ceremony was
recently held by Mashonaland East Minister for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Aplonia
Munzverengwi at the site which was also attended by other senior government and district officials.
Once complete, the structure will change the face of Mutoko. The two storey complex will house
supermarket, pharmacies, shopping stalls and a fuel filling station.
Kanhema is into gold mining in Makaha and has constructed many houses in Mutoko. The
completion of the mall will create employment for the locals.
