Hardrock FC completed the Chibuku Super Cup semi-final line-up after edging Scottland in the final quarter-final at Rufaro Stadium on Wednesday.
Hardrock secured their place in the semi-finals after taking an early lead through Neliswa Dlamini, who struck in the 15th minute to put the Kwekwe-based side 1-0 ahead against Scottland.
The result means Hardrock have joined CAPS United, Highlanders and FC Hunters in the semi-finals of the competition.
The quarter-final stage had already produced plenty of drama, with three of the four ties requiring penalty shoot-outs.
CAPS United booked their place in the last four after overcoming ZPC Kariba on penalties, while Highlanders also prevailed from the spot against MWOS following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
FC Hunters produced one of the biggest results of the round by knocking holders Dynamos out of the competition after another penalty shoot-out at Rufaro Stadium.
For Hardrock, progression comes in a competition that has provided the newly promoted Premiership side with another opportunity to test themselves against some of Zimbabwe’s established football names.
Hardrock will now meet Hunters in the semi-finals,, while Highlanders will clash with CAPS United.
The semi-finals are scheduled for October 31 and November 1, with the final set for November 28 at Chahwanda Stadium, Hardrock’s home ground.
