Mt Darwin- A 20-year-old man from Rushinga, Politbro Bondo, was recently arraigned before the Mt Darwin Magistrates’ Courts accused of bedding a Grade 7 girl.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority, Bondo, who hails from Chigumbuza Village under Chief Rusambo, allegedly professed his love to the child on January 29, 2024 at around 12noon, but was turned down.

However, later in February the juvenile gave in to the proposal.

On an unknown date in the same month, the two then made an appointment and met at the complainants place.

While there, the accused allegedly suggested they had sexual intercourse and the juvenile complied.

But a few days later, the juvenile’s guardian, heard that her niece was in love with Bondo and she confronted her.

The complainant disclosed everything. The two then went on to report Bondo to the nearest police based.

The Bondo was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to Friday.
