Kwekwe (New Ziana)- Kwekwe residents on Tuesday complied with the 30- day Covid-19 lockdown measures as most decided to stay home while the Central Business District looked deserted.

Most residents in high density suburbs were in their homes or tilling their fields.

There was little activity Monday morning in the CBD as most shops were closed, save for leading supermarkets, banks and pharmacies.

Security services maintained a heavy presence in the CBD, arresting non essential service providers like money changers.

But some illegal kombi operators were seen doing their business, with some passing the police roadblocks.
