Rejuvenated Kwekwe United have turned on the style in the second half of the Ruvimbo Funeral
Central Region Soccer League as they try to mount a serious challenge for the title.
After an indifferent start to the season, which could eventually cost them the ticket to the Premier
Soccer League, Kwekwe have realistic chances of finishing in the top four.
With the mid-season acquisition of the seasoned strikers Moses Muchenje and Mike Temwanjira,
the Zisco Club based outfit has been on a roller coaster winning three out of four matches, with their
only blemish being a 1-0 loss at the hands of Midlands State University in Gweru.
Temwanjira and Muchenje have lived to expectations with vital goals.
Muchenje scored the solitary goal in their match against Amazon at Zisco Club which ended 1-0.
Kwekwe United beat Zvishavane based Loss Control 2-1 with goals coming from Claymont
    Musabayana and Tinotenda Chitedega.
Muchenje and Temwanjira then led KweKwe United to a 2-1 victory over FC Platinum U19 at Zisco
Club with Temwanjira scoring from open play while Muchenje sealed the game from the penalty
    spot.
With 10 games to go before the curtain comes down on the season, Kwekwe United is seated on
sixth position on the log with 26 points.
