Gweru (The Times-New Ziana) – A 40 year old Mvuma man is alleged to have committed suicide recently over a migraine headache problem.

Midlands Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Joel Goko confirmed the death of Tobias Musasira of GB 25 Athens Mine in Mvuma, who was suffering from migraine headache.

Police are, however, still investigating circumstances surrounding the case.

Facts of the case are that Musasira was asleep at home with his wife, but left the room unannounced. When the wife discovered that the husband was not in bed, she woke up his young brother to jointly search for him.

They, however, failed to locate Musasira and went back to sleep. The following morning, they heard that Musasira had been found dead.

Investigations established that he had allegedly committed suicide because of the problematic headache which tormented him daily.

But other sources said Musasira’s wife was allegedly having extra marital affairs “and Musasira committed suicide due to bitterness and anger”.

Insp. Goko urged the public to seek counselling rather than ending their lives when their problems can be solved.

“If a person has come across a problem that makes him angry, he should seek advice from friends and family, rather than to commit suicide and lose his life, whereas most issues have solutions,” he said.
