    Man kills father, crushes skull

    POLICE in Guruve have arrested a 21-year-old man for murdering his 75-year-old
    father and crushing his skull.

    According to the police, this gruesome incident took place in Guruve on October 22.
    The victim, Davison Patera, aged 75, had an enduring dispute with his son,
    Ngonidzashe Patera, aged 21, which ultimately culminated in this horrifying crime.

    Following the discovery of Davison Patera's lifeless body with severe head injuries at
    his sons residence in Chabvuta Village, police swiftly initiated an investigation.

    Ngonidzashe Patera was taken into custody after authorities observed him fervently
    attempting to conceal bloodstains outside his home.

    The police said: Police in Guruve are probing a homicide case involving Davison
    Patera (75), who was discovered deceased with head injuries at the residence of his
    son, Ngonidzashe Patera (21), at Chabvuta Village on 22/10/23. Ngonidzashe
    Patera was allegedly observed covering up blood stains outside the house and was
    known to have an enduring conflict with the victim.

    “Police have subsequently arrested Ngonidzashe Patera in connection with the
    case."
