MUTARE — The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), in collaboration with United Nations Women and ZIMSTAT, held a two-day workshop in Mutare focusing on Training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Case Management System.

Participants were drawn from Masvingo, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central, Harare, and Manicaland Provinces, underscoring the national reach and significance of the initiative.

The workshop emphasised the importance of using GBV administrative data to inform planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), policy formulation, and decision-making.

Its primary objective is to ensure that justice delivery is guided by accurate and timely evidence.

The GBV Case Management System also enables the reporting and analysis of GBV data, helping to close information gaps and generate real-time GBV statistics in a cost-efficient manner.

Sessions covered cybersecurity awareness, system architecture and user roles, data entry standards, and featured a live demonstration by consultants and the NPAZ ICT team showcasing case creation and intake, case handling workflows, and document and attachment management.

This training marked a major milestone in NPAZ’s ongoing efforts to digitise justice processes, promote data-driven decision-making, and strengthen the coordinated response to Gender-Based Violence across Zimbabwe.
