President Mnangagwa mourns former Indian President

Harare (New Ziana) – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has condoled the people of India following the death of their former President Pranab Mukherjee.
Mukherjee, who was Indian President from 2012 to 2017, died on August 31 at the age of 84.
According to reports, Mukherjee died of multiple organ failure after being admitted to a New Delhi hospital weeks earlier.
A senior leader of India’s Congress party who served in multiple cabinets during five decades, Mukherjee had emergency surgery for a blood clot in his brain on August 10 after suffering a fall.
The hospital said he tested positive for Covid-19 after the surgery and slipped into a coma.
President Mnangagwa said: “I was saddened to learn of the death of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee. I send the condolences of the people of Zimbabwe to our friends in India as they mourn their former President.”
