Senegal star Sadio Mané has officially announced his retirement from international football, bringing an end to a remarkable journey with the Lions of Teranga.
The 34-year-old forward confirmed his decision following Senegal’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the African champions were eliminated in the Round of 16.
In an emotional statement, Mané said:”Know that I sacrificed everything for this flag. I gave the best of myself and I always fought fiercely for our homeland.
“Your constant support has been the engine of my success. Tomorrow, it is with pleasure that I will put my experience at the service of the Nation, whether within a technical staff, on a coaching bench or in the governing bodies.”
