Marondera (New Ziana) – A Marondera woman, believed to be a commercial sex worker, is assisting police with investigations into the death of a 14-year-old boy who had allegedly hired her for the night.

Mashonaland East police spokesperson, Simon Chazovachiyi said the victim, Tavonga Jeche of house Number 4, Mudzimurema, Nyameni in Marondera, allegedly hired Shauline Zvinhu for sexual services overnight, but the two later had a misunderstanding which led to the murder.

Zvinhu is suspected to have struck the boy with a blunt object on the head over the undisclosed misunderstanding, and left his house.

Later, she enlisted the help of an off-duty police offer to go back to Jeche’s house to pick up her belongings, including a wig.

It was then that the boy was discovered dead, with both his hands and legs tied, and bleeding from the ears and nose.

He was also deformed on the head, where he is suspected to have been struck.
