Suspected cattle rustler beaten to death

Share

Harare (New Ziana) – A suspected cattle rustler was beaten to death in Nyanga on Sunday after being accosted by four local villagers as he was allegedly attempting to drive three cattle away from the grazing fields.

In a twitter thread, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest of 38-year-old Courage Chabata, Forget Chikwasha (27), Biron Dumbuka (28), Tonderai Fombe (27) and 18-year-old Paidamoyo Mapudzi for the suspected murder of Blessing Mutambaneshiri.

The quartet allegedly fatally assaulted Mutambaneshiri all over the body with wooden sticks at the Britania grazing fields.

Stock theft is a huge menace for farmers in the country, including those in communal areas, as it deprives them of their wealth and source of draught power.
