Teen on the run for murder

REDCLIFF – A 17-year-old boy is on the run after he allegedly hit his peer with a stone following an
argument resulting in the latter’s death.
Brian Gondo, now on the police wanted list was at Mzira Business Centre at 6 pm when the incident
happened.
Police said Gondo and the victim Thabo Ncube (17) had a misunderstanding over a yet-to-be-
established matter.
“It is alleged Gondo struck Ncube with a stone on the head and he fell unconscious,” police
spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said.
The police spokesperson said following their intervention Ncube was taken to hospital.
“His condition continued to deteriorate and he died on October 3 while in admission at Mpilo
Hospital, Bulawayo,” Insp Mahoko said.
Meanwhile, in another incident, Freeman Sibanda (19) was murdered in Zhombe by two men who
accused him of stealing a cellphone.
The two men, Learnmore Moyo and another one only identified by police as Courage are also on the
run.
Insp Mahoko said the two visited Sibanda at his home at Mazoya Village under Chief Ntabeni on
October 2 accusing him of stealing a cellphone.
“They kicked him and further assaulted him with sticks and bricks. He passed away the following
day.”
Insp Mahoko appealed to anyone with information on the whereabouts of the three to report to the
nearest police station.
