    Three new ambassadors present credentials

    Harare (New Ziana) –New ambassadors from India, Greece and Japan presented their credentials to President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Thursday at State House.

    Speaking after presenting his credentials, new Indian new envoy Vijay Khanduja said he was raring to start work.

    “It is my pleasure to be accredited as ambassador to a friendly and very important country, Zimbabwe. I look forward to working with the government of Zimbabwe to take the relationship to new heights,” he said.

    “We have good cooperation in every field be it political, trade, economic, health and development and it will be my endeavor to make the relations broad based and (to see them) deepened.”

    Loukas Karatsolis of Greece was second to present his credentials.

    He said: “It is a privilege to serve in this country where there is a very vibrant and dynamic Greek community. I would want to work with the Greek community and be a part of the Zimbabwean life,” he said.

    “I will work on expanding economic cooperation and also presenting more of the Greek culture.”

    New Japanese ambassador Satoshi Tanaka said the two countries shared a long history of cooperation.

    “We have a long history between the Zimbabwean government and Japanese government it is almost 40 years of cooperation and I believe we can further strengthen and deepen our relationship and friendship in the coming years,” he said.
