Harare, ( New Ziana ) -The Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors, were on Friday expected to take on Burkina Faso in an international friendly match at Stade El Bachir in Mohammédia, Morocco.
Kick-off was scheduled for 6:00 PM Central Africa Time (CAT) with the venue, located 25 kilometres from the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca, where the Warriors are based, hosting the first of two friendlies Zimbabwe will play in that country, during the international window.
The Warriors arrived in Morocco on Monday and held their first training session on Tuesday in preparation for the matches, with the friendly against Burkina Faso being part of the team’s build-up towards upcoming competitive fixtures.
Zimbabwe will also face Niger on June 10 at the same venue as part of the preparations.
Meanwhile, there have been late changes to the Warriors’ squad with SuperSport United striker Terence Dzvukamanja being called up to replace Prince Dube, who was ruled out due to injury.
In midfield, Highlanders player Mason Mushore has come in for Richard Hachiro of Ngezi Platinum, who is also nursing an injury.
