HARARE — ZAOGA Forward in Faith (FIF) International held a celebration at Glamis Arena in Harare to honour the life and legacy of its late founder, Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, while officially welcoming his successor, Archbishop Dr Joseph “Joe” Guti, as the new leader of the international pentecostal ministry.
Thousands of members and followers thronged the venue for the special commemorative programme, which combined thanksgiving and reflection with a strong message of continuity.
The gathering brought together congregants from across Zimbabwe and beyond as the church celebrated the achievements of its founding era and ushered in a new chapter under the leadership of Archbishop Dr Joseph Guti.
Church officials described the event as both a tribute to the late Professor Guti’s decades of service and a moment of unity as the church moves forward.
While the late founder’s ministry remains central to the church’s identity, members emphasised that the succession process is being handled in an orderly and collective manner to ensure that the vision of ZAOGA FIF continues without disruption.
Professor Guti died in 2023 after more than six decades of leading ZAOGA FIF. He left behind a strong spiritual foundation and a ministry that expanded significantly in Zimbabwe and other countries.
With Archbishop Dr Joseph Guti now at the helm of ZAOGA FIF International, the church says it will continue expanding its work, strengthening its structures and upholding the faith and values that guided its founder’s leadership.
