    Majunge man (39) nabbed for murder

    Harare , (New Ziana) Police in Magunje have confirmed the arrest of a 39 year old man in connection with a case of murder which occurred along Sanyati River last month.

    The suspect, Handsome Mamiyodwa, allegedly stabbed Ian Zhou (36) on the chest and eyes with a knife after an argument.

    The victim died on the spot and was allegedly thrown in the river by the suspect.

    In an unrelated case of murder, police in Bulawayo are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder which occurred in Njube on the 1st of May.

    Unknown suspects stabbed the victim, Tinashe Mangwengwende (31) with a sharp object on the thigh for unknown reasons.
    The victim died upon admission at Mpilo Hospital.

    Police have urged anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.

    Meanwhile police on Saturday confirmed a fatal road traffic accident in which two people were killed whilst 17 others were injured when a Toyota Hiace vehicle with 19 passengers on board veered off the road before overturning and landing on its right side.

    The accident occurred on Friday at around 1700 hours along an unnamed gravel road near Mavhulele Village, Gokwe South.
    The bodies of the victims were taken to Gokwe South District Hospital mortuary for post mortem whilst the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
