MUTARE – The Miss Elite nationals, held in Mutare last weekend, showcased an impressive display of talent and beauty, with models from Manicaland making their mark.

Tadiwa Mtetwa from Chimanimani emerged as the first runner-up, while Petronella Kutsoma from Mutare secured the second runner-up position in a glamorous event that celebrated exceptional young women from across the country.

The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Christine Ngoshi from Harare as Miss Elite, a title that reflects not only beauty but also poise and intelligence. The competition was fierce, with contestants showcasing their skills in various segments, including evening wear and talent presentations.

“I am incredibly proud to represent Chimanimani and to have reached this level in the competition. This experience has inspired me to pursue my dreams further,” said Mtetwa.

Kutsoma echoed her sentiments, saying she was grateful for the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious event.

“Being part of Miss Elite has been an amazing journey. I am honoured to have been placed among such talented individuals,” she stated.

In addition to the main title, the event also recognised other outstanding participants.

Veteran model Carren Sakupwanya was crowned Miss Refined, a title that honours grace and sophistication. Agape Mandizvidza, another talented contestant, walked away with the Miss Confidence crown, celebrating her charisma and self-assurance on stage.

The success of Tadiwa Mtetwa and Petronella Kutsoma is a significant achievement for Manicaland, showcasing the region’s potential in the modelling industry. Their performances not only highlighted their individual talents but also drew attention to the growing pool of models emerging from this part of Zimbabwe.

The Miss Elite nationals not only serve as a platform for aspiring models but also promote confidence and empowerment among young women.
