MUTARE- It is all systems go for this year’s Manicaland Agricultural Show in
which the major drawcard will be multiple award winner Jah Prayzah who will
be performing live on Saturday followed by celebrated Mutare gospel diva
Dorcas Moyo on Sunday.
Running under the theme, ‘Innovation and Collaboration for Sustainable
Growth’, the show is expected to draw over 150 exhibitors this year.
Manicaland Agricultural Show Society administrator, Pedzisai Rusero said this
year’s event would be bigger and better as compared to previous years with
concerns they might run out of exhibition space.
“Most exhibitors come through at the 11th hour and we expect our numbers to
go beyond 150. Currently as preparations take shape, 85 exhibitors have
confirmed and registered with us. Our space is quite limited and those willing to
exhibit must come in time,” she said.
The four-day exhibition will be held from September 21 to 24.
A business breakfast conference will be held on Friday September 22 providing
a platform for corporates to interact and share notes on pushing forward brand
Manicaland before the official opening of the show later in the day.
The annual showcase provides corporates with an opportunity to reach out to
the public in Manicaland and beyond in an effort to promote brand visibility.
Rusero said the show will be officially opened by Minister of State for
Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Misheck Mugadza.
“This will be a fun filled event and everyone’s needs will be catered for. We are
calling on all residents of Manicaland to throng Mutare Showgrounds in their
numbers for a memorable outing. We should celebrate the success of the
province together,” she said.
