    Hunt for murder suspects

    CHEGUTU – POLICE have launched a manhunt for Tatenda Mutandwa and his
    accomplices in connection with a recent murder case that occurred near Energy
    Park Service Station.
    According to police, the suspects were travelling in a Nissan Caravan Kombi
    Registration AFA 7071 and two Honda Fit vehicles.
    Mutandwa and one of his friends, only identified as Obert, disembarked from the
    kombi and fired gunshots while his accomplices struck Muzenda on the head killing
    him on the spot.
    The syndicate approached Muzenda and his two friends, who were pushing their
    vehicle, after it had run out of fuel.
    "Police in Chegutu are appealing for information, which may lead to the arrest of
    Talent Mutandwa, Baba Simba alias Kedha, and other unknown suspects in
    connection with a case of murder, which occurred on September 6, 2023 near
    Energy Park Service Station, Chegutu.
    "Anyone with information should report to nearest police station or contact National
    Complains Desk on 0242_703631/748836 or ZRP WhatsApp platform 0712800197,"
    said national police spokesperson Assistant Commission Paul Nyathi.
    Murder cases in the district are reported almost every month.
