Harare (New Ziana) – Iranian President Seyyed Raisi arrived in Zimbabwe on Thursday for a one-day state visit during which he is expected to ink several co-operation agreements between the two countries, as well as hold bilateral talks with host President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The Iranian leader is on a three-nation tour of Africa, which has already taken him to Kenya and Uganda, to explore for deeper political and economic co-operation on the continent.
Although economic ties between Zimbabwe and Iran are weak, the two countries enjoy strong political relations which both now want to use to develop the former.
