Harare (New Ziana) – Zanu PF Mashonaland Central provincial leaders on Saturday paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa to congratulate him on his recent victory in last week’s elections.

Zimbabweans went to the polls on the 23rd of last month, in an election which saw Zanu PF winning resoundingly.

Speaking to journalists after meeting the President, Zanu PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson, Kazembe Kazembe said the province was ecstatic over the recent win.

“We came here to pass the message to President Mnangagwa that Mash Central is over the moon for winning the elections. We are also happy that our country remains in the safe hands of his Excellency. Our legacy is being protected and we also told him that he has made our work easier through his empowerment programs that have empowered several,” he said.
He said campaigning for the President was an easy task because of the work that he has done in the province.
“It was easy to sell him to the people with what he has done. Under his tenure we have seen the roads that lead to Kanyemba and Mukumbura which were once impassable now being accessible. Semwa Dam is being constructed and Eureka and Shamva gold Mines were reopened. These and a lot more projects have made life easier for people in the province and we are thankful to the President’s leadership,” said Kazembe.
He added that it was the wish for people in his province for President Mnangagwa to deservedly serve another term to fulfill other ongoing projects.
Mash Central won all 18 House of Assembly seats, a repeat of what it did in 2018.
