Harare,  (New Ziana) – The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has appointed four outstanding former men and women’s national team players as its ambassadors.

These include former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce ‘The Jungleman’ Globbelaar, Peter ‘Nsukuzonke’ Ndlovu who was a tear-away winger for Coventry City, forceful former Manchester City striker Benjani ‘The Undertaker’ Mwaruwari and Nomsa ‘Boys’ Moyo who captained the Mighty Warriors.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of four national icons, Peter Ndlovu, Bruce Grobbelaar, Benjani Mwaruwari and Nomsa ‘Boys’ Moyo, as official ZIFA Ambassadors. Endorsed at the Executive Committee meeting held on 2 November 2025, this landmark initiative celebrates their outstanding contribution to the beautiful game and entrusts them with representing Zimbabwean football on the global stage. As Ambassadors, they will serve as role models and advocates– inspiring the next generation, promoting football development, and showcasing Zimbabwe’s football story to the world,” ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi.

Magwizi said during their playing days, the quartet showed their commitment to the game of football and donned the national jersey with pride.

“Peter, Bruce, Benjani and Nomsa are symbols of what is possible when talent meets dedication and national pride. We are truly honored to have them represent our football family,” he said.

The appointments follows that of Romanian Marian ‘Mario’ Marinica as coach the Zimbabwe national football team “the Warriors” on a one-year contract.
